Max's Birth Story

Max

January 25th, 2004

Well little Max,
here you are, Happy Birthing Day!
You are a very beautiful boy, most peaceful and patient.
You are a lucky little boy... Your parents wished and wanted you to be their baby for a long time.

One day in May 2003 your Mom and I walked in a walk-a-thon to raise money for the MS foundation, and then we met your Dad, brother, my family, Auntie Berta and Jacob at a restaurant in China Town for Dim Sum. Your Mom took one bite of a pork dumpling and when I saw the look on her face I knew that you must be growing inside her...

For many months you grew in your Mom's belly... we were all getting pretty excited about the day we would finally get to meet you, especially your big brother Kyle.

The doctors had told your Mom to expect you sometime around the 24th of January and as luck would have it on the morning of the 24th when your Mom woke up she knew that you were on your way! Hooray!

I was very blessed and honoured to be invited to be with your Mom & Dad when you were born.

We spent a long time at the hospital... your Mom worked very hard to bring you out safely. The 24th turned into the 25th and the doctors and your parents decided it was time to try something else...

When your brother was born he was helped out by a Doctor and a special surgery called a caesarean section and you were born the same way. How special to be born exactly the same was as your big brother!
Your Dad was beside your Mom the whole time and I watched from the window of the operating room.

You came out to greet the world at exactly 3:36 am. After a brief check by the doctors you were safe in your Dad's arms, your Dad beamed from ear to ear because he had another SON.
Shortly after you were born you were sleeping all snug with your Mom and I watched as you both slept together. Your Mom slept with a smile on her face because, you were finally in her arms.

I believe you have chosen the perfect family for you Maxwell.

Welcome.

I love you little one,

Michelle
