Thank you so very much for all your support, both before Ella's arrival and during. I honestly wouldn't have been so at ease in labour if it wasn't for your effort, care and concern about facing my emotional fears. (Kevin is just as greatful).

Dear Michelle

Words cannot convey how I appreciate all that you did for us before and during the birth of our boys. You were calm and reassuring, a hand to hold onto, during all the procedures to get things rolling. You were understanding when it was time to decide on surgery. You were warm and loving to my boys when I was unable, after my surgery. I felt happy knowing they were snuggling with you.

Dear Michelle,

Thank-you just does not seem like enough for all that you did to help bring Max into the world. You held my hand, and whispered words of encouragement, not only when we were trying to push him out into this world, but also when I would have disappointment after disappointment every time the months would go by and there was no baby growing inside of me. You believed that we would someday have this sweet little miracle, and that it was just a matter of time until the perfect baby chose us to be his parents.

So now 23 months after Maxwell's birth, I look at him and think how beautiful he is, and that he is truly lucky to have not only Scott and I to love him, but you his Aunty - in - love.

Having you with us definitely made it a better experience. An experience I will hold onto forever.

Without you, I have no doubt that Simon's birth would not have proceeded as smoothly and as perfectly as it did. You amazed me with the amount of time and energy you were willing to provide to our family before and during the birth. You were able to help me through all the challenges of my labour in ways that no one else could. I really wanted to experience a different birth this time around, one without interventions, and with your help that is exactly what we were able to do.

Thank you for bringing out my birth warrior. Thank you for supporting Mark and I through this exciting time, and being apart of our 'Gold Star' team. Thank you for continuing to be involved in our family and supporting us in ways that every parent dreams of! Thank you for choosing this path, because it makes my heart smile to think of all the women you will be able to help in the future. And finally, thank you for being the most wonderful friend a girl could have.

It's a beautiful birth story, and it was a beautiful birth. Dave & I feel that it could not have gone so well without you and Sheri there to support and guide us, and encourage us.

I didn't realize how lost and lonely we would feel in that big hospital, surrounded by people who are just not that impressed that our first child is coming!

You and Sheri kept it magical for us. You reminded us that the day, and we, were special and important. It was that care that kept our spirits up, and gave us courage to make Mika's birth what we wanted it to be, a labour of love and a celebration!!
